Controlled pilot privacy information
Quiet PromisePrivacy information
A clear pilot-stage summary of how Quiet Promise currently handles privacy, manual release, recipient access, and the decisions still needed before wider public launch.
Publication status
Not final legal publication wording
This page is provided for controlled pilot readiness and must not be treated as final public privacy wording until the unresolved legal, business, contact, data-retention, and publication decisions are completed and reviewed.
What Quiet Promise does
Private preparation with manual release
- Quiet Promise helps account-holders prepare private information, wishes, trusted contacts, and carefully permissioned release details.
- Information is not released automatically. Trusted-contact requests are reviewed manually before any approved release.
- Recipient access is read-only, permission-limited, temporary, and controlled by the categories the account-holder chose.
- Payment processing, analytics, advertising tracking, and marketing tracking are not enabled in the current app.
Current limits
What this page does not claim
- This page is controlled pilot privacy information, not final public legal wording.
- Final legal operator details are not published here because the legal and business publication position still needs final review before public launch.
- A business postal address or lawful alternative is not published here because that decision still needs final review before public launch.
- Final payment, refund, consumer, company, tax, and public-launch wording must not be added until those decisions are complete.
Personal information
Information Quiet Promise may process
Quiet Promise should collect and use only the information needed to provide the service, protect accounts, support manual verification, and operate controlled release safely.
Account details, such as account email and authentication information.
Trusted contact details and the categories each trusted contact may be allowed to receive.
Funeral wishes, practical wishes, vault item metadata, and encrypted vault information added by the account-holder.
Release request information submitted by someone asking for access after a death.
Recipient session information used to provide approved, temporary, read-only access.
Admin, security, technical, support, and audit information needed to operate and protect the service.
Controlled pilot boundary
Use test or low-risk information only
Controlled pilot participants should not rely on Quiet Promise for urgent, legal, funeral, estate, banking, password, medical, safeguarding, crisis, or death-readiness purposes. The pilot is for careful testing and feedback only.
Real sensitive information should not be used during the controlled pilot unless the operator has separately confirmed that the relevant production, legal, privacy, support, and release safeguards are ready.
User rights and contact
Privacy requests
Privacy rights depend on the person making the request, the data involved, legal requirements, safety checks, and the locked Final Gift release model.
- Request access to personal information where legally applicable.
- Ask for correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Ask for deletion or restriction where legally applicable and where safety, audit, legal, or operational limits do not prevent it.
- Raise a privacy concern through the Quiet Promise support route once final public contact details are confirmed.
Final public contact wording must be added only after the monitored contact route, legal operator position, and publication decision are confirmed.
Readiness status
Detailed policy decisions remain under review
The detailed privacy policy, legitimate interests assessment, data retention policy, account deletion process, production readiness position, and public launch approval remain under review. This page should be treated as controlled pilot privacy information until final publication wording is approved.
