Quiet Promise

Controlled pilot terms information

Quiet Promise

Terms information

A clear pilot-stage summary of Quiet Promise's current service boundaries, manual release model, acceptable-use expectations, and the legal decisions still needed before wider public launch.

Publication status

Not final public terms

This page must not be treated as final public terms of use. It reflects the current controlled pilot position and must be replaced or legally reviewed before wider public launch.

Service model

How Quiet Promise is intended to work

  • Quiet Promise is designed for private legacy planning, trusted-contact preparation, funeral wishes, practical information, and carefully permissioned release.
  • Account-holders are responsible for choosing trusted contacts carefully and keeping their information accurate and up to date.
  • Trusted contacts do not receive automatic access. A request must be submitted and manually reviewed.
  • Approved recipients only receive the categories they are permitted to see.
  • Recipient access is read-only, permission-limited, temporary, and may expire or be revoked.

Current limits

What this page does not resolve

  • This page is controlled pilot terms information, not final public legal terms.
  • Final legal operator, public contact, business address, company or sole-trader, payment, refund, cancellation, liability, and public-launch wording still need final review before wider public use.
  • Real payment collection, checkout, billing, invoices, and refunds are not enabled in the current app.
  • Future photos/videos, expanded support, legacy capsule, payment, and public-launch features require further implementation, testing, privacy review, and terms review before public use.

Controlled pilot boundary

Testing only, not public-launch reliance

The controlled pilot is for careful testing and feedback only. It is not a public launch, not a payment launch, and not a promise that Quiet Promise is ready for real-world reliance.

Use test, sample, or low-risk information only during the controlled pilot.
Do not rely on Quiet Promise for urgent, legal, funeral, estate, banking, password, medical, safeguarding, crisis, or death-readiness purposes.
Pro pilot access, where provided, is for testing only and does not create a payment obligation or permanent paid entitlement.
Public launch approval is separate and has not been granted by this page.

Important boundaries

Quiet Promise does not replace professional advice

Quiet Promise is intended to help people organise information and reduce confusion. It should not be used as a substitute for formal professional advice or urgent support.

Quiet Promise is not a legal advice service.
Quiet Promise is not a financial, tax, probate, medical, counselling, safeguarding, crisis, or emergency service.
Quiet Promise cannot replace a will, legal advice, estate planning, professional counselling, or emergency support.
Users and recipients should use qualified professionals and official services where formal decisions are needed.

Acceptable use

Use the service safely and honestly

The release model depends on trust, accuracy, and careful manual verification. Misuse may lead to access being refused, restricted, suspended, or investigated.

  • Do not upload information you do not have permission or authority to store.
  • Do not use Quiet Promise to harass, threaten, impersonate, mislead, or harm another person.
  • Do not try to bypass authentication, release controls, permissions, one-time codes, or recipient-session limits.
  • Do not submit false release requests or false evidence.
  • Do not treat hidden categories as confirmation that further information exists.

Payments and future features

Payment collection is not enabled here

The current app may describe plans, but real payment processing is not enabled in the current implementation. Payment terms, refunds, cancellation wording, tax/accounting position, consumer rights wording, and payment-provider wording must be completed before taking real payments.

During the controlled pilot, selected participants may be given Pro pilot access for testing only. No payment is collected, and Pro pilot access does not imply permanent paid access after public launch.

Future features such as photos and videos, expanded family support, and the legacy capsule add-on must not be publicly sold, promised, or relied upon until they are designed, implemented, tested, reviewed, and reflected properly in privacy and terms wording.

Readiness status

Detailed terms decisions remain under review

The detailed terms of use, public launch position, legal operator position, consumer wording, support position, payment position, and production readiness position remain under review. This page should be treated as controlled pilot terms information until final legal and business wording is approved.
